Our Services

Caregiver Consultation

& Coaching

At Little Boat Psychology, we understand that every child’s journey is different. Just as no two boats sail the same waters, no two families face the same challenges.

Our Caregiver Consultation & Coaching Programme is designed to provide personalised, practical support that empowers caregivers -parents, grandparents or domestic helpers- and strengthens the child’s daily environment.

School Readiness Assessment

Unsure which educational route would be the best for your child? The SRA provides a comprehensive analysis of your child’s cognitive abilities such as their verbal comprehension skills and logical reasoning skills and an understanding of your child’s daily living skills. This typically involves 2-3 sessions which covers:

  • Adaptive Behaviour Interview with caregivers (e.g., Vineland 3)

  • IQ test (e.g., Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence 4th Edition, Singapore Ability Scale)*

  • Feedback from teachers

  • Feedback from parents

*number of sessions/duration of assessment session vary depending on the child’s ability and the number of subtests administered

Specific Learning Disorders (including Dyslexia)

Does your child struggle with learning to read, write or count? An assessment of SLD provides an in-depth analysis of your child’s abilities in each of these areas. It typically includes 2-4 sessions which cover:

  • IQ test (e.g., WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, SAS)

  • Achievement test (e.g., WIAT 4)

  • Phonological test (e.g., CTOPP)

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Does your child seem to have boundless energy or have difficulties staying focused? An assessment of ADHD typically includes 2-3 sessions which cover:

  • IQ test (e.g., WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, SAS)

  • Behavioural Rating questionnaire for parents and teachers (e.g., Connors 4)

  • Computer-based assessment of attention (e.g., K-CPT)

  • Initial consultation (interview with parent and assessment of child)

  • Intervention (in clinic, home or school)

IQ/Cogntive Test

  1. Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI) for 2 years – 6 years old OR

  2. Wechsler Intelligence Scales for Children (WISC) for 6 years – 16 years old
